Further to the Department of Transport's announcement of its intention to convert the former Network Southeast area over to ITSO smartcard ticketing, you can order a FREE smartcard for use on the Scheme.
I got one myself just now, It looks and feels like an Oyster card, but has your Name and Photo Laser printed into the card face. Saved me a Fiver in having to buy an ITSO smartcard for use when the switchover to ITSO ticketing occurs around 2015-ish..
