Must be popular. It might be worth speaking to the museum to see about reserving a copy when it next comes in.

This is the first time I've ever encountered an extant book that wasn't even listed on Amazon. (Although there are plenty they don't actually have in stock.) Sent from my computer using a keyboard.

Got a copy from L T museum. Nice book but spoilt by flimsy binding which gives the impression ot coming apart at the seam before too long and nearly £5 postage.

Beside the H & C viaduct about 200 yards North of Shepherds Bush station on the West side is the original Metropolitan Railway electricity sub-station dating back to 1906. From a passing train there's a fine view of this classic red brick building, approx half scale compared to the ex CLR one now in the Westfield site. I note there is a cable 'bridge' or duct connecting the H & C viaduct with the Met sub station, and a cluster of thick cabling in the space between the running lines at this point. I wonder if this old sub station is still supplying traction current to the H & C? I'm sure I read somewhere it had ceased to do so around 15 to 20 years ago, but it looks very functional to me. Can anyone elucidate?
