A new thought about modelling struck me today, besides buying an IoW set.
The two London Underground Class 20's, is there any kind of rolling stock that they pull frequently? And if so, is any of that available RTR? I might, depending on the answers to these questions, pick up one of them aswell, if i have enough money.

The 4TC set with 2 Class 20's at one end and Sarah Siddons or a steamer at the other. A 4TC child be made from Bachmann or Hornby MK1 coaches

I didn't consider the 4TC stock actually. I was more focused on freight or maintenance cars. But when it comes to the 4TC, modifying RTR models that much is something that is beyond me. However i did make a quick Google search for "4TC 00 gauge" after your reply and found Britannia Pacific Models(£260) and Southern Pride(£78.50), though none of them sell them in the LUL version.

Alright, thanks! Could i simply take any old TEA tanker i find, or do they have to have a special colourscheme?
A sidenote: in due time, as a result of this, i might order an S-stock set from Metromodels and model a transport. I'm not blaming you, i'm just saying.

Thanks for your help, bronzeonion. However it seems that they only use two tankers per transport from what i can find on Google. That is great for me though as it saves on cost.

Obv it depends on what you have space and money for but it's a bit more complicated than just 2 tankers (TEAs).
Network Rail require(d) 6 wagons to act as brake force runners (because the S stock is in effect unbraked on NR metals) - this was in the days when there was just a single 20 either end.
Although the 20's can haul the load, their acceleration wasn't really good enough and if one 20 failed then they would really be in the way. So in the early days it was 20 / MLA / MLA/ TEA / S Stock / TEA / MLA / MLA /20.
After a while (sorry can't quote date) it was changed to 2 x 20 either end, with just 1 TEA either end as the locos could produce more brake force, and better acceleration to keep out of the way of units.
So the positioning moves without S stock should be either: 20/MLA/MLA/TEA/TEA/MLA/MLA/20 or 2x20/2xTEA/2x20

Hm... At this time i think i am restricted to one Class 20, and maybe some tankers, as i already have one IoW set reserved at the Transport Museum. Space wouldn't be an issue at home as i don't have a layout of my own, and i could make some storage space available. Length restrictions on the club layouts are usually 2.5 meters, so i guess that's the space i have to go by.
