I was one of the throng who used the Central to watch the race at Epping. LU did us very well indeed. Loads of staff around, no delays, clear signage, sufficient trains waiting/arriving at the start of the return journey so that despite the crowds it was easy to get a seat. Has this station ever handled more passengers in a single day?

I suspect its a contender for Epping's busiest day, but its used to quite heavy traffic in peaks. I believe in morning peak it has more entries than Oxford circus...

True, and it's usually full by 7am! Yes, I have a friend who drives to Epping from Brandon sometimes, and he has had to look elsewhere on a weekday. It's over 500 spaces as well. |

We also ran a service from Ongar - North Weald and back with our Thumper unit 205205 and carried about 700 people!
