I arrived at Stratford (by bus, rather than NR, due to the time) yesterday to find things a little amiss on the Jubilee Line platforms. There was a broken down train in platform 13 - OK, these things happen - but over on platforms 14 and 15, there were no trains listed going out of 15.
I made my way towards the far end of 14 - intending to save myself time at Stanmore - and a train came in on platform 15. First Stanmore train was still showing as being from 14. It was announced that the train on 15 would in fact be departing next - though only from an onboard announcement was I able to confirm that it was going all the way to Stanmore. Luckily, platforms 14 and 15 are an island layout.
What caused this "information hole"?

It sounds as if not much has changed since I left Stratford 11 years ago, back then Neasden didn't bother telling the station control room what's going on or if they did it was too late so the first thing we knew about which train was first out would be the doors closing up and the train heading "west" usually with a load of disgruntled passengers left behind. Back then we still had a ticket barrier between the Jubilee and the rest of the station so the passengers could then vent their spleen at the unfortunate SA on duty, often that was me.
