When a Jubilee Line station is closed, do the station closed 5MPH signs get put in place? When I went through Bond Street station (closed for Crossrail works) the other day on the Jubilee Line, there was no station closed sign to be sighted anywhere on the platform.

Not needed as the trains are programmed to run through the station at 20kph

Can't they sell the signs then...? Well aren't they behind and part of the rather heavily used maps on the platform? Besides they haven't even cleared the running signals yet have they? Can't see them bothering with ripping out station closed signs.

When were the Station Closed 5MPH signs introduced?

I'd imagine that on the JLE they were there from new, likewise between baker street and green park, albeit possibly a different design. Don't forget that in an emergency, a station closed sign may need to be put up before the system can be updated (eg in an emergency) so they will probably be there for the foreseeable future as a backup.

Actually, I did think they would use it like that during 'last minute' closures. But take Bond Street for example which is closed for Crossrail works, the trains have been programmed to travel through Bond Street at 20KPH/12MPH.

The wall mounted boards have been around for years and will need to stay for emergency closures.
Previously there were A frame signs hidden in cupboards and displayed when needed.

You mean the manually folded out ones you put out on the platform edge?

You mean the manually folded out ones you put out on the platform edge? Yes and some open air stations still have them

Yep, I've seen one at the end of the Eastbound platform at Ealing Common station stored away.
