Been quite a fun day so I'm going to have second helpings of questions!
As we were going past, I noticed the train in 21 rd had all its saloon doors open on the left hand side - another new one on me. Does anybody know why this might have been done? Is it common to do this? I gather doors are frequently opened in stabling sidings and depots and I suppose this is for testing or something? But I've never seen it in 21 rd, there was even a cleaner still on board and trains running just a few feet away.

I'm sure I have read here that doors are left open as an anti-vandalism measure.
