What other films have nice location shots on the combine?
One I can think of is 'Gideon's Day', made in 1958, it has some nice colour scenes at Aldwych, with standard stock in evidence.

*Digs into depths of memory...*
Wasn't there also some use of Underground stations in the original Quatermass productions?

Damn, can't remember, but I *think* that they were all studio based. They were filmed at Bray I think. Certainly the 1960s Quatermass and the Pit was a studio job.
This is a subject which I find fascinating, I could bore you all for hours (but I won't).

The original BBC series of 'Quatermass' was filmed at Lime Grove, and of course the BBC 'Quatermass and the Pit' was nothing to do with the Underground. I think that the rather good 'sixties film was made at Pinewood, the set for the 'Hobbs End' station was very good.

The film 'An American Werewolf in London' (1979) has some sequences at Green Park.

The film 'An American Werewolf in London' (1979) has some sequences at Green Park. I think Tottenham Court Road Northern line platforms are also included at the end, with that rather odd growling emanating from the tunnel... but dont ask me if it was Nb or SB platform, because it is at least 20 years since I last saw the film

I suppose I'd better mention 'Death Line' (1972), which was filmed at Aldwych, with lots of '59TS and Donald Pleasance. The film 'Bulldog Drummond' and 'Bulldog Jack' have some good mock tube sequences, one showing a 'closed' station.

There are also sequences C1950 in Passport to Pimlico, or are you all too young to remember that?

My all-time favourite film, 'The Blue Lamp' (1949) has the suspect being chased accross the Central Line tracks near White City, complete with r/h running.
I'd forgotten that tube scene in 'Passport to Pimlico' (made in 1947 BTW).

I trust someone will be taking this young man to task over this comment? OK Please explain for thick person *smack* It was on the District. The DR is sub-surface not tube (although described as such by marketing people and others who don't understand the difference, hence it has entered the popular language).
