According to both the engineering works information and the live status updates map on the TfL site there is a normal service operating on the District Line west of Aldgate East. However when I try to plan a journey to Gunnersbury it tells me there are no trains to there and to walk from Chiswick Park.
Which is correct?

To furhter the confusion, the TfL live depatures board says there are no depatures. The National Rail one says there are departures to Upminster, Aldgate East and Stratford.

It's running west of Aldgate East.
