To be truly useful, such a map would also need to show the "shortcut" walking connections such as Bayswater to Queensway, Lancaster Gate to Paddington, and so on. Didn't someone produce a walking times map some years ago?

The methodology might work on Sunderland's metro network, but its University's graduates haven't really grasped the complexity of the Tube. According to their map it takes over 40 minutes to walk from Lancaster Gate to Paddington.
I think I prefer Phyllis Pearsall's version.

It is also a very curious version of the tube map.

It looks like a fairly old map, with those garish bright colours. Either that or my screen's gamma settings have gone a bit awry for just that page!

It's the May 2012 or December 2012 map.

It has the Circle line going to Hammersmith, but the Aldwych branch (or shuttle?) has re-opened and the Jubilee line extended from Charing Cross to Cannon Street as well as the JLE, and no Overground. A very curious version of the map.
