It’s easy to moan and groan, particularly from the comfort from an armchair, but I had some observations today which I feel are worth noting. I was out and about and the weather was truly dreadful with driving rain and wind so strong that at times it was difficult to stand; my umbrella was quickly wrecked and I could not avoid getting drenched. As everyone knows water and electricity don’t go together yet all day the underground system has been running normally; this alone is pretty impressive particularly as some of the signalling is long overdue for replacement. Even more were a couple of wonderful personal touches which I witnessed on my way home this afternoon. My Piccadilly Line train terminated at Rayners Lane so I had to change to the Met. As we all trooped off through the rain there was a cheery lady on the tannoy with the message “You only have to wait a couple of minutes for the next Uxbridge train but in the meantime get out of the weather into the waiting room where we’ve got the heater on!”. Even more, once we got on to the Met line train the T/Op delayed his departure momentarily to re-open the doors for a latecomer. Perhaps they were just two little things but, in my eyes were both very considerate acts by LU staff to alleviate the passenger discomfort, just great to experience and much appreciated

What a great customer service experience you had! I love in he south west in Dorset and you rarely get this on the trains around here and when I go up to London I don't get it either! But i say well done none the less too these staff members!
