I love the look of the swimming pool. The theatre looks pretty cool as well though: Clicky
I still think this is the most beautiful disused station though: More (c)licky

Presumably the abandoned stations in Paris are also abandoned in the sense that trains no longer run through them. I agree that some of the ideas are very interesting. Pity we have nowhere like that on the London system - Aldwych and Charing Cross (Jubilee) are, I think, the only stations with no passenger services passing through, but I think they're both still used for various purposes which requires the track to remain in place.
I still think that stations like the former British Museum and Down Street would make great restaurants, with nice thick glass windows along the platform edge through which to watch the trains go by. But I'm reliably informed by SWMBO that I'm in the minority in finding such a prospect appealing - she still wants the swimming pool.

I remember a former station (closed by Beeching) up for sale where the space between the platforms had been made into a swimming pool.

All the disused stations in Paris still have trains running through them, so this idea seems rather bizarre. There are two disused stations that aren't on open sections of line, but the tracks through them are used for access to stabling and inter-line transfers.
