More irritating was the "voice" on the lifts at earls Court when I used to work in the WH Smith newspaper kiosk : "stand clear of the doors" blaring out every 2 minutes...aaargh...
Or the platform edge at Smallbrook Junction on the IWSR which in places read MIND THE OAP instead of MIND THE GAP.
