Hi. I have joined this forum to find out bit more about more models of Metropolitan stuffs. I am son of Tony, who used to drive A60 metro line rolling stock, I don't know when he started working but I think he retires probably around 2004 ish. He has the models of train upstairs in attic, but I can see all of his models are not metro related, he got Eurostar, Pullman, old smokey etc and I think it would be nice if I can get him a A60 Metropolitan train, which probably only on Radleys Model but I was hoping if you know any better models site that I can look up. Because of Radleys model, I find the price were bit expensive for me to afford (I wanted to buy, but I know dad won't want me to buy him anything is expensive for Xmas) so I was thinking maybe a die cast or non-moving model so I could buy it from there. What is your advice from there? Thanks for help in advance.

Unfortunately mainly due to their limited appeal most scale models Underground trains tend to be expensive. The potential cheapest option would be either a secondhand model from a Show or eBay or maybe a 2 car EFE IOW 1938 tube train however even these I are @ £60 - £70 mark!

Shame about trying to get A60 train for dad, so I decided to show the working a60 on YouTube and he likes it, but he prefers all in one set anyway. But for Xmas I got him a Thomas Kinkade Winter Wonderland Express that I won for him at the raffle, A London Underground Simulator (circle line) and model version of Tube Map, he likes it all and I'm glad.
