Are any of you wonderful LU chaps ITK about when the Picc will be back in service south (OK, "west") of Arnos Grove?
Is it true that LU are planning a fudge to enable running to Wood Green?
Is it easier to clear the Russel Square tunnel now that the b*stards have been identified and the forensic is less important?
Any news on any kind of provisional date would be most appreciated.

1. No. 2. It was tried (using empty trains) but wasn't a success 3. No. Even when forensics have finished there's the possibility that a lot of work will be needed to make the area fit to run trains.

Don't want to sound disrespectful, but after Moscow explosion on 06.02.2004, 'green' line was up and running next day...

All the sites are currently still under police control so that all forensic evidence can be gained. Once the authorities have handed the sites back, we'll have a much better idea. The picc one will be a while yet as the lining rings etc may have to be replaced. The other 2 sites have been quoted as 5 days approx after handing back.

What of the condition of the tunnel between KNX and RSQ - I've heard that the tunnel has collapsed. Anyone confirm/de-confirm it this???

We don't actually know as we cant get near until the investigations are over, but i very much doubt it has collapsed at this stage. The precarious bit will be when pieces of debris are removed. With a tunnel collapse, the earth above will shift with it and the roadway above will also show signs of movement.

From what I heard yesterday at Acton Town, they were hoping to move the C Stock trains last night (Friday) and once this is done it'll obviously be possible to assess fully what other damage has occurred.
As for the Picc train, I've heard suggestions that the blast blew through the bottom of the train and has caused damage to the track beneath. I've also heard that the car that took the brunt of the explosion is pretty well going to have to be scrapped where it stands, at least down to the sole bar, and then dragged out, presumably using skates.
Whilst working yesterday afternoon there did seem to be several of the Schoma diesel engineers locos on the move round the Acton Town/Ealing Common area - this may be coincidence, but I can't help feeling it's connected.
I see that the following statement was issued on 15th July by Mike Brown (LU's Chief Operating officer).......
'We will not be in a position to add to the current level of service on the Metropolitan, Circle, District and Hammersmith and City lines for a number of days.
The service on the Piccadilly line will remain suspended between Arnos Grove and Hyde Park Corner and for the foreseeable future.
Thank you for your continued patience as we work to resume full services.'

I would be very surprised if they were going to use the Schoma diesels to drag the train at Russell Sq out, as they are not supposed to go down the pipe due to their immissions

L25 (Battery Loco I think) is/was sat in the EB Platform of Liverpool Street Met/Circle/H&C yesterday, as I was passing though from Liverpool Street NR to the Central Line I noticed it though the closed gates.

Without going into too many details, for obvious reasons:
Train 204 (Aldgate incident train) will be moved this evening (top and tailed with battery locos and match wagons). At time of writing it has been moved clear of the scene and back into Liverpool Street station. A very poignant moment to see it on our CCTV.
One other train which had been at Liverpool Street on the westbound since the morning of the incidents was moved off to Neasden depot this afternoon.
The area is still a crime scene and is likely to remain that way for up to 5 days. There is then expected to be up to 5 days of work to rectify any damage to signalling etc.
After all of this, efforts will then be concentrated on the Edgware Road area.
