As far as I'm aware this was for 1395 cars Rolling Stock Library lists total 1710 cars so I am confused S8s for Metropolitan is OK - 464 cars:- 210001-116, 22001-116, 23001-116, 24001-116 I thought that S7s for District were to be 560 cars and 371 cars for Circle etc - ie 931 cars However the following 1246 cars are listed by RSL-: 21117-144 21301-536 22117-144 22301-536 23117-144 23301-536 24117-144 24301-536 25002-144 Evens 25302-536 Evens Which are for District, which are for Circle etc and are the rest another order or perhaps an option in the original order? I'd be grateful for any help in sorting this out Thank you Brian

Even-numbered 25xxx cars (substituting for even-numbered 23xxx) have de-icing equipment.

The District, Circle, and Hammersmith and City lines are all going to use one common pool of trains, so for example 21301/02 may end up running on Upminster to Richmond services on Monday, Circle Line on Tuesday, Wimblewares on Wednesday &c. As for the numbers, there are going to be 133 trains, ie 931 cars.
S7 Trains are formed like this
DM(O) + M1(O) + MS(O) + MS(E) + M2(E) + M1(E) + DM(E)
21301 + 22301 + 24301 + 24302 + 25302 + 22302 + 21302 (de-icing unit) 21565 + 22565 + 24565 + 24565 + 23565 + 22565 + 21565 (normal unit)
They should be as such:
DM Cars: 21301 - 21566 = 266 cars M1 Cars: 22301 - 22565 = 266 cars MS Cars: 24301 - 24566 = 266 cars M2D Cars: 25302 - 25386 (even only) = 44 cars M2 Cars: 23388 - 23566 (even only) = 89 cars ________ 931 cars
Edit: Beaten to it by a couple of minutes! Grrr.

I noticed that the S7 are all fitted with both a District and Hammersmith & City/ Circle line mapS The interior grab rails an poles are all yellow so Internal green and pink will be a think of the past. It appears that the surface lines are loosing their uniqueness which is a great pity, XF

There was talk of one additional S8 being built for the new Watford line, is that no longer the case?
