Has anyone been and seen Max's latest diagrams? Theres some particularly interesting and pretty designs on there. Quite aside from the concentric designs that have gone viral over the internet, I thought I might draw attention to one other very attractive drawing that will interest some www.tubemapcentral.com/pod/london_deco.jpgThe detail going into the station ticks and terminal flutes is really beautiful I think, extremely art deco. And the use of a roundel for interchange stations is a very nice touch. Further, its nice to see some forgotten extensions added to the mix; the full New Works and Sutton to boot. Even the border is most pleasing! What do others think? What are other peoples favourite designs?

Stunning. More beautiful the closer one looks.

Very nicely done. Maybe I'm being dense, but is there a reason why York Road is missing on the Picc?

Lovely draughtsmanship! A good reminder of how complex the Northern would have become if all the New Works had been carried out. One minor thought on presentation is the difficult question of route colours - if starting with Art Deco assumptions, maybe a different palate would have been used - apple greens, oranges, paler blues and mauve/violet perhaps?

Absolutely brilliant. Love studying the Northern Heights extentions, Central Line to Denham and Met Line to Aylesbury plus the Northern Line extention to Sutton. I never realised there was a proposal to extend the District Line southwards from Wimbledon.

No Bakerloo Line proposed extension to Camberwell.

Very nicely done. Maybe I'm being dense, but is there a reason why York Road is missing on the Picc? Given that the map shows the 1935/40 New Works Programme extensions, it is showing the network around a hypothetical 1940. York Road (as well as Brompton Road and Down Street) all closed in the early 1930s.

Just imagine how long a Denham-Ongar journey on the Central would have taken

Just imagine how long a Denham-Ongar journey on the Central would have taken Or, for that matter, Sutton to Bushey Heath via Bank on the Northern line.

Very nice - slight anomaly on the eastern end of the District though.
