I received an automated email claiming that there would be many more Central line trains at peak times from Monday 16th September. This seemed unlikely but on checking the tfl website there did seem to be a lot more trains starting/finishing in White City. As I live in Shepherd's Bush and commute in every day this is very convenient for me (see districtdavesforum.co.uk/thread/19984/white-city-starting-eastbound-trains). Unfortunately if by "more" LU actually meant "less" then they were right - otherwise they were committing a terminological inexactitude. Both yesterday and today the White City trains seem to be missing. Arriving this morning I found the display showing trains in 1, 5, 7 mins where the missing train at 3 was the one I wanted. I let a few trains go by, all packed, until the next cycle again showed a gap where the White City train should be. So what's going on? Effectively the capacity has been reduced by about 20% the last couple of days

Wasn't there a thread a while back (can't remember when or which area it would have been in) stating that the introduction of the new timetables for the Central line and the Drain had been deferred?

The new timetable did in fact start on Sunday 15th September, which was deferred from the once projected date of June.
Haven't heard of anything specific regarding issues with the new timetable, unless someone else can elaborate?

During the off-peak White City trains are scheduled from Hainault every 20mins (or every 8 trains). During the morning peak a train terminates at White City every 10-15min. A very similar pattern that existed in WTT66.

I'm pleased to report that this morning my White City train arrived on time and I was able to commute in the style to which I've become accustomed (ie. with a seat).

Nice one Matt!
I commute from East Acton and have had fun geeky session on TfL Journey Planner. I think there are trains starting from White City at 8.21, 8.39 and 8.59 Also there are trains starting from North Acton at 8.09, 8.27 and 8.40.
I got the 8.09 and a seat yesterday, but there was a defective train this morning which held everything up. So far the 'improved' service has meant my normal 40 minute commute to Kings Cross now takes 55 mins. Sigh.
Hopefully these are just teething problems and everything will run smoothly in a couple of weeks.
