I see from the TfL website that the Chesham branch is closed on Sunday 6 October - the day that my Ramblers group has a walk starting from Chesham. (As Membership Secretary, it falls to me to check train times in the new programme before sending it out). Using Journey Planner to find times from Harrow-on-the-Hill to Chesham, this gives bus connections from Amersham to Chesham connecting with Chiltern trains, but also an hourly Met train service from Northwood to Chesham. So is the branch closed on 6 October, or is it just a reduced service?

The Chesham branch is closed. Replacement bus service F will operate Chesham–Amersham.
The MET service will operate: Amersham and Harrow-on-the-Hill via Main Line. Amersham via Watford to Northwood Local line.

Journey Planner is only showing the bus replacement on Saturday and has trains from Chesham to Northwood on Sunday, with a note beside the time saying that the branch is closed!
