I had to wait at least 10 minutes for a District line service this afternoon after missing a service to Richmond.
In that time there were 2x to Hammersmith with a 5/6 min gap between them packed with Carnival revellers, then another Richmond service. I didn't see any going to Ealing Common and I saw a Wimbledon starting from Tower Hill.

Sometimes during amended timetables the Ealing Broadway services start from High Street Kensington. This is probably what has happened with the Ealing Common services (as services are suspended between the two Ealing stations) - as is the usual advice, take the first train and change!
Presume with the Carnival they probably had some problems keeping an even frequency on the H+C which impacts on the District, perhaps they held a train back at Barking to let an H+C leave the bay road as that would be running late due to the increased demand on the western side etc etc... all speculation but likely on a day like today!
Know how you feel though, especially as last time I used the District it was the Ealing Broadway branch which had a 20 minute frequency!

How did you see a Wimbledon starting from Tower Hill, if you were at Whitechapel?
I guess if you were inconvenienced the old SSR mantra of "take the first train and change" comes into play.

Once I boarded the next District line service, I saw the Wimbledon service in the middle platform at Tower Hill. Personally I'd rather stay at Whitechapel then change at Liverpool Street for a boiling hot C Stock train. |

Upminster-Richmond 10min
Upminster-Ealing Common 20min
Tower Hill-Wimbledon 10min
Edgware Rd-Wimbledon 10min
HStKEN-Olympia 20min
