Tickets will be available tomorrow for a tour of Stratford Market Depot on Saturday 21st September. I believe the address to book these on will be the London Open House website tomorrow morning at some point and that tours will be from 10am until 4pm.

I've booked as well, I think on the 10am tour but I'll have to wait for confirmation to be certain!

I wish I could go, but there are other open days that I also have to cover for my transport blog (i.e. Metrobus Depots open day) covering all of the 1000-1600hrs part Also, I have to cover NBfL on 11 before 1000hrs! So a long day for me!

Which is the best station to go to for this event?

It depends on where you're coming from. Although TfL recommend using Stratford and walking out the entrance and down the road, technically Stratford High Street DLR (on the Stratford Int-Canning Town branch) is the one that is right next to the depot. So its up to you.

That's what I thought! Cheers. I'll probably use the DLR. It's not like they'll arrange a shuttle service to take you into the depot from Stratford or anything. Which would be nice!

I second Londonstuff. A superbly well organised and interesting event.

Was it really true when he said only 300 were produced? Anyway, thanks for a good day. I'll never look at a tube stock the same way again.

It was a very well organized event, and hosted by some very helpful and knowledgeable members of staff. The booklet that they gave out was also well-produced and full of detail. I really appreciated them taking the time to run this - it was a credit to LU and the Open House event.

I had a great time too, thanks for the heads up about this. Was it really true when he said only 300 were produced? I presume you're referring to the goodie bags? I'd imagine so, yeah - it was all branded for this years event, so they can't be reused some other time & ~300 seems reasonable given the tour group sizes
