My nomination must be the Ruislip branch of the Central.The staff from White City was booked to arrive West Ruislip at 02:30 and the early staff back to White City left 23rd at 03:30.9 times out of 10 it was cancelled and replaced by a staff coach due to engineering work.

It's quite short up the other end of the line... but maybe not that short...
Think Loughton has one of the shortest gaps for public trains on the network...

I think the shortest nowadays is the east end of the Jubilee.Last train arrives SMD 01:52,first train departs SMD(via WH)04:23.
