Main - New Cross Gate? Other Main (?) - West Croydon Tram Stop and Bus Station?
Chosen for today - Could today have been the day the London Overground Extension opened?

There's no points available for the other main, there are some though for the inset.

I was confused as the caption said "two to find today" as opposed to "one to find today and an inset" .

Still a bonus point available for working out why these were chosen: Main photo: New Cross Gate - A stock on 5 May 2007 [Chris M] Inset: West Croydon tram stop and bus station on 7 September 2010 [Chris M] *Click either image for a larger version*

Anything to do with the opening of West Croydon station on June 5 1839?

Its a lot to do with the opening:
Bonus question: Why were this location and this inset chosen for today? Bonus answer: New Cross Gate was opened (as New Cross) by the London and Croydon Railway on 5 June 1839
