Was in Uxbridge with 2 met line trains, one in platform 4 for aldgate, one in platform 1 for baker street. Another met train comes into platform 3 with not in service displaying on the side of the train. It waits in the platform for a minute or two, and then departs. From the looks of it, it waited outside Uxbridge in a siding.
Anyone know why it did that?
Many thanks in advance,
TSM

Could have been a test run. Did you get the car numbers?

It was actually a training train for new drivers. It ran empty from Neasden Depot to Uxb Sgs, then into the platform then back through the sidings and off to Neasden Depot.

Ahh, interesting. So it ran through the reception roads to Hillingdon? Often wondered if such routing through them is a semi-regular occurance, as opposed to seperate moves covering different parts of it.

It all depends on what moves the Instructor Operator requests
