I have just installed the 1973 and C69/77 stock for MSTS and when I pick the route the bar says 'unknown' and I can't seem to access them I have installed MSTS bin too  |

You also need the D78 (unrefurbed) stock as many of the activities use it. Mandatory stocks are the 73TS (unref), the 73TS V1.1 update and the unref D78. Those are used by the scenarios. Any other stocks can be added as desired. Make sure you have those that are needed. If you still have issues, let me know the exact error you are seeing and I'll diagnose.

i am having serious trouble with the district line on msts. Everytime i try and load it it says "error reading train data base file". I did as microsoft suggested and re-installed everything into a different folder but it has not work. Does anyone know how i can fix this problem?

Can't imagine why Microsoft would suggest a different folder. There's clearly something missing. Plese let me know the exact error message (all of it). Check the Readme again - there's some things needed that you may not have installed. Xtracks, Newroads come to mind. Did you install all the train stocks?
Describe in detail exactly what you've installed and the exact error message and I can diagnose and assist.
