I see the Circle line is advertising no service between KX and Moorgate today. I'm making a number of assumptions here - could anyone tell me if I'm right?
1. Is the Circle running as a traditional circle rather than a lasso of the H&C branch? (Gap between KX and Moorgate, obvs)
2. What's being done?
3. Reversing at Moorgate looks interesting on the inner rail - presumably they go past platform 2 to a limit of shunt board and then back across the crossover onto the outer rail, though I wasn't sure whether this was signalled. Is this what they're doing and is it used in this way much?

At guess I would say that the Circle is not running to Hammersmith. It will run Edgware Rd-Victoria-Aldgate-Moorgate. The Hammersmith and City is running Hammersmith-Kings X every 8-10 min. There is not capacity at Kings X to reverse much more unless stepping back is used at Kings X.

Metman has it spot on. H&C; Kings Cross to Hammersmith and Circle; Moorgate to Edgware Road via Victoria.

Given the section of line with no service, it would be reasonable to assume that this is for Crossrail work at Farringdon and/or Barbican.
