www.ltmuseum.co.uk/whats-on/events/vehicles-on-the-moveOur beautiful Art Deco special – the 1938 Tube stock train, and the latest vehicle to our heritage collection, the A stock, will make journeys to Metro-land as part of the Rickmansworth festival. The Friends of the London Transport Museum are providing a free heritage bus service, which will be available throughout the day, running between Rickmansworth Station and Batchworth Lock where the festival is taking place. Which A stock will be running for this event? Look forward to having a ride on one once again.

There were plans to try and get the 4 car out of Neasden, but that has gone very quiet now.

Well the ones at Neasden have been sitting at the engineer's siding since December and have rusty wheels, they could had used 5112 (Acton Works) instead

Yes, and either 5110 or 5234 have their M door wide open. Can someone not close it!
5112 does not have a satisfactory exterior condition currently but it would be my choice as it is one of my favourite units.

If the A Stock is not going to run with passengers on it is there any point in bringing out a single car to sit in the bay at Ricky? We all know what an A Stock looks like and surely it is going to be great expense and time to bring up a single carriage from either Neasden or Acton. It's not like it has been years since we last saw an A Stock. Sorry to be negative but all that bringing a carriage to Ricky is going to do is cause people to want to ride an A Stock but face disappointment because they can't! Maybe try a sort out a working unit for the Neasden depot open day in August

Is it really that difficult for someone to have a look at 5110 or 5234 and pass it for a one off passenger working? Bloody typical

Am I the only person that finds it odd that a train that was still in regular passenger service until the recent past cannot be run in service, yet a 75 year old train that last ran more than 20 years ago can?

The problem I believe is regular maintenance and the exams that may not have been carried out. This is no excuse mind you!

They've known about this event for months, so they could have started to get the A stock up to scratch with plenty of time to spare. A very poor show indeed that the Met's longest serving trains won't be playing an active role.
