Morning all. The 73 refurbished tube stock for BVE4 can now be downloaded form The London Tube. If you have any comments or suggestions, please feel free to tell. Enjoy. David (UD)

Hey David - looks good from what I can see of it! The problem I get, is that everything is blue (and I've tried this 'Is your windscreen painted blue?!') fix on TSC. Could this be to do with the 24-bit images that you've used? (in which case, I can't do anything about it )

Hi Joe. I have no clue why that is happening, but the 24bit images seems most likely to be the problem. I have converted the images to 8bit in this exe file (287KB). If you wouldn't mind giving them a try and letting me know the results I would be very grateful. Cheers, David (UD)

Its not my work really. Credit should go to DrJimi and CabDarren as they created it, I just put it together for BVE. Thanks anyway. David (UD)

A quick update: If you have been experiencing visual problems with the train, please head over to The London Tube and download it again. This should fix any problems. David (UD)

Very good stuff UD.......just tested it on the Northern (via BRR randomiser) and it is fun to drive.....are the brakes that sharp in real life? I was hitting stations at 40, selecting 'Service 3' at the tunnel mouth and had quite a lot of room spare at the end, good job it wasn't BVE2 or the little man would have a red face!!

Thanks Alex. It seems to vary quite a lot from train to train. Some have excellent brakes, others require the extra pressure to be applied. But generally they seem to be very good and quite responsive. Just to note that Tom Beevers (Tomcakes) developed the performance section, but I felt it was so accurate there is no need to change it.

Excellent job David it looks great. Have been off work for two weeks and it’s given me something to do. My only comment would be that it’s very hard to see if I have the pilot light or not… perhaps it’s just my screen? Or do I need to change the bulb? ;D
Anyway, great job. Is anyone building the Piccadilly line to Ealing Broadway Uxbridge?

;D Thanks Peter. If you could take a screen shot and post it here I'll have a look into it. I don't think anyone's building it to Uxbridge I'm afraid, although Tom Beevers has made a fine route between Barons Court - Arnos Grove, available at BVE Route Junction.

I thought that the pilot light wasn't there at first, but if you look up to the top of the cab, it *is* there, not very bright, but it is there, you just need to search for it

I spotted it right away but if you don't see it come on it's not always easy to tell. I've not posted an image before so let's see if this works...

Yep, that's how its meant to be. Before I released it, I took out a feature which made the red "open door" buttons light up once the doors closed. I took it out because I felt it was too unrealistic, but it would only take me a few minutes to re-do them if anyone wants them?

It's only a minor niggle anyway. Otherwise good work! Must have taken ages to do. Humm, perhaps time for one more run!...

Just a quick update folks: I have updated the 1973 Refurbished Tube Stock for BVE4 to version 1.1. There is only a small update in this version, which is outlined below. Change in version 1.1 of the 1973 Refurbished Tube Stock for BVE4: London Underground have recently updated the 1973 refurbished stock to play the door chimes while the doors are closing, instead of just as the doors are about to close. This update follows suit and plays the chime until the doors have completely closed. There is also a Zip file containing the new sounds for those with the older versions. Available from www.thelondontube.org.ukRegards, Dave
