I came across this pic on Flickr. As there's no crossover at Goldhawk Road can I assumed that a train would kick out at GHR and run empty to the depot. According to Quail 5 though there's no outlet from the depot except straight to Hammersmith, unlike somewhere like Ruislip Gardens which is double ended. So, the question being why then have this as a destination blind? www.flickr.com/photos/42537798@N02/8617802514/in/contacts/

For trains running to 24Rd at Hammersmith, then depot. Okay, cool. Is there much point in going straight to 24rd though, rather than 22? It looks like everywhere you can go from 24 you can go from 22 but that obviously might not be the case.
