I am baffled by the info displayed by the live departure boards. As well as a cosmetic change to the main website, the actual times of train arrivals are different between my web browser version on my desktop and the android app on my phone.
For example: right now (08:36) it shows the next eastbound Met at Ruislip Manor in 4 minutes but the android app (the excellent Tube Chaser) shows a train at the platform and the next Met at Uxbridge, at least 9 minutes away.
What on earth is going on? My uninformed guess is that the revamp of the website has delayed the processing of live info whereas the phone app, with a direct line into the LU systems, is accurate. I think the app is right because I can see the platforms from my home and verify when it says a train is at the platform.
In addition, the website no longer shows where the trains are, just how many minutes away but the app continues to show the location (which I find useful) - why has this been dropped from the website? Given that the info is all there anyway, why not display it? Looks like a case of someone trying to justify their job by making unnecessary changes.
