I've noticed the aspect on this signal isn't one I've come across on a four aspect colour light signal before. How come Green / Amber and Green / Green is used. Would this be a throw back from semaphore signalling when at night the driver approaching the signal would see Green / Amber for caution and Green / Green for line clear with both pegs up or down dependent upon quadrant type.
I've never noticed this on the LU before.

It's not a four aspect signal but two two aspect signals on the same post- wd43 the top signal and a repeater for the next signal below it capable therefore of showing green/green for both signals clear, green/yellow for wd43 @ clear and the next signal @ danger and just one red for wd43 @ danger

Still looks strange though. I did see the Amber further down towards Hammersmith. In relation to the feathers. Is it engineers trains that use the feathers to cross on to the Piccadilly Line? or has sub surface stock ever crossed over onto the Piccadilly Line platforms at Hammersmith?
