For the past couple of days the 0714 ex-Uxbridge has been cancelled. I can understand that operational reasons may result in the odd cancellation, but is there any particular reason for this specific train being repeatedly cancelled this week?
Cheers,
TSM

The cancellations will probably end when the driver gets his alarm clock repaired.

Cheers, TSM For information only, that train is due to start from Uxbridge sidings and shunt back into the station.

I believe this is a problem train in the new timetable which is being looked at at the moment by the Rayners Lane Service operators, hence the cancellation from Uxbridge platform - (the train has been entering service at Hillingdon, I believe, straight out of the sidings), to see if delays can be avoided.

Ah, that explains it. Many thanks. If only I could join the train from Uxbridge sidings! Cheers, TSM

Wow word gets around! Yes there have been some issues due to a combination of things, one particular idea has been to experimentally run run one train directly into Hillingdon to help alliviate congestion but as I was nights recently I recall being told two days on the bounce that a train which shunts from the sidings was to run empty to depot due to rolling stock issues which tallies with the 07:14 departure time I recall one day it was because a future van gough mistook our train for a canvas, can't recall what the issue was the the other time.
