Does anyone know if it's possible to get on a Jubilee line train from baker street at around 8.30-8.40 AM?
I'm getting fed up with the delays on the Bakerloo and wondered if the Jubilee was heavily loaded...

It depends where you're going! Northbound no problem, but I assume you mean southbound which is busy, but with trains every 2 or 3 minutes and GENERALLY a reasonable service these days, it should be OK if a bit close and personal. Obviously much busier if a southbound Bakerloo has just pulled in with everyone of like mind to yourself!

With that choice I am guessing that you are heading to Waterloo.
When I worked at Bankside I found the Bakerloo a far better bet for space than the Jubilee despite the longer walk at the Waterloo end but that was a few years ago now.
Getting off at Waterloo can be a battle and no hope of even reaching the doors at Southwark.
If you are changing from the Met you may find changing at Finchley Road quicker. Despite the slightly slower journey to Baker Street its still quicker platform to platform once the walk through Baker Street is taken into account.

Jubilee trains are exactly every 2 minutes at that time, mostly reliable these days, quite a few people get off at Baker Street so there's generally room to get on and rarely a backlog on the platform. It eases at Bond Street and again at Green Park and Westminster, before getting rammed at Waterloo with Canary Wharfers.

97% of the time you will get on the first train. Especially the front where people get off for the Bakerloo.

Jubilee trains are exactly every 2 minutes at that time ... I thought that there were 24 trains per hour at peak times not the 30 suggested by the above reply?

Memo to self: Should really check these things thoroughly first. Sorry, you are of course correct that during the busiest part of the morning peak, there are 30 trains per hour southbound through Baker Street

I've tried this, and it seems to be far quicker than awaiting the Bakerloo at Marylebone...
Yesterday and today there were a few people on the platform, and I seem to remember letting the first train go away this morning, deciding not to play sardines on it.

If you pop over to the bakerloo board and this thread: www.districtdavesforum.co.uk/thread/21243/todays-problem-bakerlooyou'll see the reasons for the problems on it. SIX trains cancelled every day, so crowded trains and no hope of a solution for Queen's Park - unless TfL admit they've made a severe error over safety......
