Fantastic! I still hope to save this train one day! It was the second unit I built a model of after 5056 If I ever catch who tagged it, they wouldn't have any arms left to spray with

I understand from a former colleague at LUL that some parts have already been removed. This includes some of the luggage racks and as the picture shows the blinds. But good to see it’s still running and making a living. So hopefully it survives for a while yet. The last time I was on this train was when it was running Watford – Chesham shuttles early last year during a HOH-Ricky closure. I had thought it would be its last. But the fact it has survived gives us some hope. And it’s a pity about the damage – fools – had best not go further with that! Hopefully someone will clean it off.

Yes, the C Stock unit in question is 5595.

I'm assuming this unit of C stock is withdrawn?

Are the yellow bogies on 5595 painted yellow because theyre knackered? Are they a swap from a 'good' unit still in service?

Can anyone say where this was going, and why? Any chance they'll be moving around again?

I suspect the yellow bogies are works "accomodation" ones, temporary ones for short moves whilst the real ones are unavailable.

I am sure the 'real' bogies have been retrieved for use in the remaining C Stock fleet and the unit (5595-6595) is on accommodation bogies. This was done some weeks ago, but I have no idea why it was being shunted - pending scrap maybe? It has been withdrawn since 21/8/09.
