I travelled on an eastbound train, second car from the front recently.
It took a little time to realise that something was different.
Instead of the dark grey flooring running throughout the car the area between the seats was offwhite/very light grey.
Foolishly I didn't make a note of the car number.
Was this one of the trial refurbs or a repair?
It seems a better idea. The seams between the panels are away from the doorways where on the normal cars they can't stand the traffic and split/bubble up.

Is it to show where the door area is for the people who can only see the floor colouring? Just saying...

I've noticed the different coloured floor on the 92ts on a few areas, it seems to be used where a patch was needed like in the area around the doors on the ends (not the inter connecting ones) where previously corrosion of the floor made the orignal flooring bubble up there they've repaired the actual floor then patched it with the different coloured stuff.
