I'm off to the wild east (Greenwich) tomorrow morning and the options are JLE and bus or DLR and bus. Is the DLR likely to suffer in the <daily mail/on weathergeddon daily mail/off>?

I'd say the DLR is just as much likely to suffer as London Underground (surface sections), so if it's bad enough to suspend some LU services then it could also suspend the DLR so just check before you travel.

My experience is that the DLR often plods on whilst other lines are in trouble. The inverted power rail is particularly snow and ice resistant.

DLR has always managed to keep going if my memory is working. As another poster has said the third rail arrangement makes it less prone to the problems that beset NR and LU. The high frequency also helps to keep the running rails clear.

I would say that the DLR is probably the most reliable for of transport in the snow, it copes well in most weather conditions, it never use to like rain for some reason but that was during the upgrade a few years ago now.

Yes, in my experience the DLR copes better in snow than LU or NR. The rain issue omnicitylondon mentions may have been ATO-related like we frequently hear about on the Central Line.
