Whilst in Hainault on Tuesday at about 16:25 I noticed a Central Line train going over the bridge with every door open on both sides including the drivers doors, it appeared to be going into the sidings by Hainault Station but could have possibly been going into platform 3, it was hard to tell from where I was standing.
I was under the impression that 1992 stock trains couldn't move with doors open? Also why would you even need to do this?

Cut door interlock out. Reason being is a graffiti prevention measure, it was quite common to see an A stock inter-peak stabler in Wembley Park sidings with all the doors open at one time. I presume this is only carried out where graff is considered a particular problem. Definately one reason for it at least.

I would imagine the train was in the process of being cleaned and was changing roads in the depot by shunting into the sidings adjacent to Hainault station. I think the train would have been running in restricted manual.

To their mind the side of a train is a platform for art. They may not be intent on damaging things in a more destructive way (like taggers do). I'd to to state don't agree. Graffiti is vandalism.
