i never seen London underground system close so early as 20:00 to 21:00 (waterloo and city is only line normally closes around that time)
so boxing day normally closes much earlier or something - this wasn't mentioned on Website
the last early closure was 7 July attacks (which forced the system to shut down early)
i can't remember if London underground had early closing time in past

Services on Boxing Day this year were timetabled to finish at "Sunday" times, but the strike put paid to this good and proper.
During the last few years of a Christmas Day service, services (or what little there were of them) operated 09.30 - 16.30 (1974-1977) and 09.30 - 15.30 (1978 and 1979).

were i am from in glasgow the clockwork orange closes at 1830 on a sunday
the early closures today are down to no drivers hence the strike

During the last few years of a Christmas Day service, services (or what little there were of them) operated 09.30 - 16.30 (1974-1977) and 09.30 - 15.30 (1978 and 1979). hmm that's intersting - christmas day services on all transport was stopped after 1979? - because today people have to use taxi or car to reach places that public transport normally operates but idk if other countries do christmas day transport? - i know United States does have christmas day services (they vary state to state) i wished we brought christmas day transport back to limited service - like 09:00 to 17:00 service (based on simllar idea on Glasgow subway)
