Everytime I run BVE4, i get a message like this:
"application has generated an exception that could not be handled. Process id=0xbe8(3048), thread id=0xbe0(3040)
click ok to terminate the application. click cancel to debug the application."
BVE2 works fine, and after a search on the internet, i installed microsoft.net framwork 1.1 , but it still doesn't work.
i have also uninstalled and reinstalled BVE4.
can anyone help?

I got the same. I had to uninstall ms.net framework and re-downloaded and installed from the new copy. Can't remember if it was V 1.1 though? Is V2 out? Anyway, I got it from MS's UK website.

I went via the add/ remove programs bit in the control panel. Just went there on my own pc to check and im running on .net version 2. Give V2 a whirl.

ok, i've installed version2, and uninstalled version1, i don't get the "application has generated an exception that could not be handled. Process id=0xbe8(3048), thread id=0xbe0(3040)
click ok to terminate the application. click cancel to debug the application."
message anymore, i now get:
'BVE has encountered a problem and needs to close' message
have i done something wrong?

Not so far? Have you reinstalled BVE just to make sure, because I installed .net V2 first and then immediately reinstalled bve as a precaution. Has worked fine since.

Have you got the latest version of BVE installed. It might be an idea to download it from mackoys website again just to see what happens. Anyone else got any ideas?

Can any member help me? I play the Northern Line with the 95s regularly, and dont have any problems.
I recently downloaded the 38 unit, it runs, the signal heads are shown, as are the platforms, but there is no track, and apart from that, the screen is white. I deleted it, and downloaded it again, but with the same results. At the beginning, a list of errors come up, and it asks to me ignore or abort them.

Hmm, only thing I can think of is missing objects! You must have ALL the Northern Line objects, sounds and route files in the main same BVE folder as well, whether thats the "mackoy/BVE4" one, or just the "BVE" one!?
