Fabulous photos.
When line 5 had its serious flood north-east of Eglise de Pantin in the early-1980s, it flooded 18 stabled trains of MF67 Stock, all of which had to go away for repair. I was able to photograph one of the trains being returned to the RATP at Vaugirard depot, on the reception track between the depot and the Petite Ceinture.
As a consequence of this, there was a hurried shuffle of stock to keep line 5 going. In turn, it meant that the remaining Sprague trains (then on line 9) had a short reprieve, last running in April 1983.
I would assume that link is also closed, as the MF01s are being delivered by road to Bobigny depot.
A small section of the Petit Ceinture was also used as a test area for line 14 trains (MP89CA) before the new line was completed.

Parts of the P?C were still used for passengers. I travelled from Gare de Lyon to Gare du Nord via Gare d'Est on a wagon lits service from Monaco to Calais (admittedly this was in 1974).

Nice photo collection. Having done some searching there are a couple of other websites that give full details of how to walk close the route and where to see the disused stations / bits of track. Google street view confirms the views haven't changed.
Unknown to me the last time in Paris I walked right over the top of the line and travelled parallel to the southern section. I think some photos are warranted the next time I visit Paris.

I find this incredibly interesting. I USED TO know Paris well, but 3 years ago made my first visit in 40 years! Could still find my way around the Sorbonne/Luxembourg area at night without a map and without asking though!!
Reason for this posting is that I read somewhere that when Q Victoria was on her first state visit to France by train, all the dignitaries were waiting forher to arrive at Gare du Nord and for some reason, her train was diverted to Gare de l'est.
1) Was this the line that was used for that diversion? 2) Would such a diversion still be possible today? 3) If so, do they ever happen (for Eurostars or other traffic?)

I've been to a gig in a venue that's one of the old stations - www.flechedor.fr/. It was about 10 years back, but you could still see the track beneath.

I can recall BR lines looking much the same in the 1960s & 1970s until they began to be redeveloped for housing and as footpaths.
