Just left NOR on an EB Central line train. A technician of some sort boarded the train with us, straight into the cab. Conversation was audible between him and the T/Op, before the T/Op announced that there would be "a short delay outside the station as the technician takes us through a signal". We drew, rather slowly, up to the first BMB, protecting the merge with the crossover. The train never stopped rolling, but the nearside cab door opened (probably unrelated), and as we passed the BMB, we moved off again at linespeed
What happened here? I presume that the track leading up to the BMB was broadcasting a stop code, but why was a technician required?
There is presently a Good Service on the Central line, according to the TfL website
EDIT: Furthermore, at EAA, the driver left the train to close the doors. TTCCTV failure?
