Hello everyone, just thought I would post some pics of my Train Simulator route.
MCT (Metro City Transit) Hickman Line is a route I am currently building for TS2013. Part overhead railway, part underground line, (a sort of subterrelevated concept if you like) the MCT Hickman Line is intended eventually to become part of a network of lines serving fictional Pelican Island and its capital, Magellan, in the Pacific . Medical people will need no explanation of the Hickman Line's origins, but for the rest of you a little background info may be in order. A Hickman Line in reality is a tube which is inserted between the neck and chest area. Half of it remains outside the body, and the other half tunnels under the skin before reaching a vein. Therefore, using it as the name for an underground overground railway seems quite appropriate. Patients hate Hickman Lines but at the same time recognise that the apparatus is essential and a necessary evil. So it is with commuters on the MCT.
So here are the first screenshots of the route. There is still a very long way to go, the scenery is still unfinished in places and there will have to be some tweaks to the lighting here and there, but it will give you a basic idea of what I am trying to achieve. By the way, anyone wondering where the live/return rails are, the explanation is simple. I haven't got round to installing them yet!
