I still can't seem to mix and match my stock, I know it has been mentioned on the forum but I'll have a go at another time. I must admit I really do like this Bakerloo route, just about every time I've been on the PC recently I've had a little go on it. Very good!

OK Alex.
1.Download stock from TSC or wherever
2. Go into BVE4/Railway/Route/Bakerloo. Open file for (say) E&C to H&W.
3. Go to line 9. After 'folder' replace with the Exact (case and space sensitive) name of new stock for line.
4. Save as new file (with new name of course)
5. DON'T save changes to original file when asked.
Exit, load up, select new route file and away you go!

You needn’t mess about with the main BVE route files to choose a different train. A very smart program called ‘BVE Route Randomizer’ lets you choose a train you have on your BVE system and run it on a route of your choice, amongst other features including timetable, adhesion and signalling editing to make your experience on BVE much more challenging! You can download BVE Route Randomizer from - koti.mbnet.fi/lopomo/trainsoft/BRR.html

I have downloaded the BRR programme, but cannot get it to work. Maybe I'm stupid.

I have downloaded the BRR programme, but cannot get it to work. Maybe I'm stupid. It's quite easy! Look at the pic below: If you click on the 'Menu' button in the top left, then 'Configure' you get the pop-up box shown. Simply type in the locations of your core BVE installation in the appropriate boxes! When you want to run it, you select the route on the left, then the traction you want to use on the right. Click select and it should load for you! BTW, it should be noted that the screenshot was taken looking at my BVE2 directory! I don't have all those trains and routes for BVE4!!! I just changed the configuration box for the purpose of the screenshot!Hope that helps!

Hmm do I see a '737 test flight' in that piccie? Never knew planes went on rails! LOL! That was actually a BVE route! It was written to test if BVE could be used for other modes of transport as well as railways. You obviously couldn't control the glideslope or anything, simply the throttle and brakes, but here's a screenshot of what it looked like!

Ha ha ha! Got BRR on the go and just enjoyed a trip on the Northern on a 72 and round the Circle on an A stock. I'll have to imagine I'm in the 1970's later and run a 1938 stock on the ELL!

Have you tried A stock on the Northern?

Would it be fair to assume it'd be like driving a 59, or would the 38 stock have more in common?

There must be something seriously wrong with the sim if it is raining at Piccadilly Circus.

To remove the rain, take a copy of the route and search the file for the pattern .beacon 21; Then for each of these beacons, change the last value in the statement to be 0. Perhaps better illustrated graphically: see here brj.5000megs.com/beacons.gif

Trying 38 stock on the ELL is a very strange experience, the cab windows are about halfway down the platform! The A stock on the Northern just seems to fit as another tube stock would and as for some interesting braking try the 1995 on the Bakerloo!

I think the 38 stock would be closer to a 59 stock than a A stock. I e-mailed TSC last year and suggested that they did a 1959ts (the repy was maybe when have more time), and being allmost the same as the 1938ts all it would need is a new cab view.

I've found the braking to be very fast on the 72 stock, when I used my BRR programme and drove it on the Northern I was getting from 30mph to 0 in minimum (or brake one, whatever you wanna call it) in about 5 seconds!! One tip I'd suggest (even though all the BVE fans will know more about it than me) is to select 'poor adhesion' on the BRR setup. That 72 stock is still relatively easy to stop. As for the 95 well...................

On the subject of the 59ts I do have some cab images (~200 of them) if anyone is interested in them, my graphical abilities are not the best.
