At about 8:30 last night I was waiting on the southbound at Tufnell Park, the DMI was showing the next four trains as being 1, 2, 13 and 15 mintues away. The previous train was 5 minutes ahead, with trains alternating branches.
According to the service board there was a good service operating, but such uneven headways doesn't seem like a typical service pattern?

Cancellations? Late meal breaks? Stock required at Golden Green, the mind boggles!

I'd suggest that the simplest thing is usually the right one - i.e. that the "good service" was erroneous!

Yes good point! It's a long while since "good service" has been a reliable indicator of a good service.
