Would this include the 1917 disused platform and empty lift shafts etc: or just the bits that were used at closure?

Thanks. At first I thought the admission charge included a day return train ticket and got quite excited, as my nearest station is Amersham, but I've now realised that the day return ticket mentioned is for the LT Museum. I'll probably still go, though.

It says that it is a rare opportunity, but it happened last year. Is it now going to be an annual event? Be good if it is as its a fantastic place to have a look round!

I booked mine online at 0805 this morning - being an early riser has it's advantages!

Finally got mine booked..
By the way, it's not entirely clear on the website, but if you wanted to do the evening tours you need to go to "The Secret Station" section.

Seems to be working OK now.
Does anyone know how many tickets they sell for each tour?

I have managed to get a ticket for the 13:30 tour of Aldwych this Friday.
A long shot, but will any other DD members be there?
We are advised to arrive by public transport. I am sure the best way would be by tube or tram.

I'm sure I could get a tram that travels along the Embankment, then to Aldwych before going to Holborn and then into North London.

I've moved the posts from the duplicate 'Aldwych tours' thread started by 'gantshill' into this one.
My tickets arrived in the post today, though not for the same tour as 'gantshill'.

As I was camping on the Isle of coll for a week - no internet! - I missed out on this opportunity. what are the odds of more tickets becoming available? Or have I missed the boat... ? :/

I went tonight. Compared to my last visit, I enjoyed the format of the tour more; there were 2 well informed staff who guided the tour and presented various bits of information in 3 main locations, whereas previously there were people dotted around the place giving rather rushed talks. The TFL choir were definitely worth the extra £5 too

I have received tickets for next week. I thought I read somewhere the tickets give you tube travel on the day, is that correct or am I dreaming? If it does give travel, I assume you just show the ticket at the gate line?

I understand that the stupid 'no DSLRs' rule has been rescinded? correct, many seen in use last Friday, but there is a tripod search and a footwear suitability check made before entering the station........

As an ex member of staff at the LTM and previously a S/S on LUL. I used to add a bit of operational knowledge to the guided tours of Aldwych. so I would be interested to know who was running the tours. Did anybody spot the names of the guides.

The main tour I did about four years ago was with the SS from Charing Cross, a slightly older guy who has an interest in all things subterranean. He was amazing; knowledgeable and enthusiastic and a camera buff to boot. I'm pretty sure there's a couple of people on here who did them last time, too.

Went on the 1:30 tour today - utterly fantastic. Well done to all concerned and thank you LTM and LUL.
