I have both BVE 2 & 4 and have downloaded the Vic line, in the text on Sachas site it tells me to place the CTBC in P3 position and the train will do the rest - it won't. It just carries on accelerating and running through everything. How do I get this to function in ATO?

Make sure you are running one of the ATO routes on BVE2 and it should work, providing you've got the correct ATO enabled stock running on it! Of course nearing completion there is a version which mimics the real life ATO system on the VIC fairly accurately.

Indeed (what DT said!), the ATO stock is 67 unref/refurbed. You can also drive it manually with the 72 unref/refurbed too. (Or press 'Home' IIRC, to take the 67 out of ATO) On another note entirely, does anyone know what the speed limit is for the W&C, since, in BVE 2, there isn't one (I got the 92 up to about 55mph at least, before I thought about passenger comfort.... how professional of me! )

Alex, in BVE 2 with the Victoria line, as well as placing the CTBC in P3 you must use the 'Page Down' key to place the train in ATO mode. Hope that helps!

Yep..I've got Vic ATO going on my BVE2. It's quite good actually, it's the ideal thing to have on the PC while eating dinner! I've been watching it and then trying to charge into the stations manually on the 72 stock. I still think the brake on the 72 can't be that good in real life (I know I've never driven one but it seems very quick).

I've finally got Vic ATO going today (if all else fails RTBI) and it works a treat - but it's 67ts not 72 on the Vic.

On my BVE 2 it'll be a 67TS if ATO is selected, but a 72 if you choose to drive it manually. The cab is a lot better on the 72 though

I've been trying out the manual Vic line jobs in BVE4 with the 72 stock and seriously those physics are out of whack! Notch 1 braking and the thing jolts to a stop like you dropped the freaking handle!!!

In BVE4, I know ttran. But, if you go into BVE 2, you'll find the braking is realistic, which I was pleasantly surprised about!

Lol. Well - fair enough! But in BVE2 you do get better braking. (My BVE 4 refuses to work, atthe present time)

You rang? ;D
I am not sure if the route actually worked in ATO properly, I never got it to. But, Sacha is working on a BVE4 ATO system, which he received from a Japanese guy, so the Victoria Line is being updated with a fully working ATO system.
HTH,

It works perfectly in BVE 2 with ATO Rich. Maybe you're just not a good 'train driver'

If it's the latter, please explain cos I think BVE4's braking works far superior and can be judged easier than BVE2!

I'm talking about the Vic line with manual train (72 mk I) braking on BVE 2 - i'm saying that the BVE 2 braking is much more realistic than the braking on BVE 4 for the Vic.

Well, heh - thats all well and good but the only reason I'm using BVE 2 is that my BVE 4 refused to work a few months ago!

HTH, I assume Aso, however, the current BVE2 stock was made by Paul Jobber, who is offline. I'm not sure if Sacha makes trains, so unless someone tells TSC and Paul that Sacha is updating the route for BVE4, they wont know, I doubt. So will there be a BVE4 1967 stock to go whith it?

Paul Jobber isn't the only train builder . I'm sure, nay, certain that Steve at TSC is aware of the route .
