Here's a link to the F&WHR's FB site - Clicky I don't think that you have to be a member of facebook to see them, but I'm not sure I've put the right link up. Can a non-facebook person check and see that I've put a working link up, please. You should see the Met Railway carriage refurbished in its full glory.

Opening with a whistle from the Square (guest appearances by Cricc and Hedgehog) - this should take you to a video of the restoration:
Congratulations to all the Lodge, it looks very spiffing indeed.

I saw this splendiferous beauty making its way to GCR via the A50 whilst making my way home from work!

Try this one Clicky - I've got it by logging out of FB completely and approaching it from the other side, so it should work for you.

Still nothing, grrrrr. I'll turn everything off, go make some dinner, then see what happens.

LT Flickr stuff looks fabby though. Peculiar coincidence zone: me as the (vaguely former) Loco Painter and Finisher of the TR, went to the same school and share the same birthday as the FRs equivalent at the Lodge (in the flickr stuff), although he's 7 years younger than me. Freaky.

By which calendar <off-topic> Proleptic Gregorian - elapsed since 18/2/3102 </ot> Excellent lettering and gilding - I'm quite jealous....

Extremely good to see the word "proleptic" still in use. It deserves a wider public, especially given the recent tendency for news channels to lead with items such as "Later this afternoon, the Prime Minister is expected to attack an announcement to be made by the leader of the Opposition this morning on the subject of XYZ. He will make the point etc etc...." A whole week's news in seconds.

Extremely good to see the word "proleptic" still in use. Working in the medical/pharmasphere that I do, I initially misread that as "prolapse". Ooops!
