Could also be in the Angel or London Bridge area, both of which have also had lines diverted in recent years, thus leading to abandoned running tunnels.

They are used by the southbound Piccadilly and Victoria lines. Could it be the second tunnel on the Aldwych branch? the one that was abandoned after only a few years? Ot possibly one of the Jubilee overrun tunnels at Charing Cross - did tyhey ever get rails laid? EDIT - found it - about two thirds of the way down this page. It's at Charing Cross, but it never had, or was intended to have, rails in it.

Yes, most of them were taken over by the southbound Vic and Picc lines, but there are bits between the old and new alignments that were definitely abandoned. www.abandonedstations.org.uk/Drayton_Park_station.html

There is nothing in them but tunnel dust and the occasional bracket, the track having been lifted long ago and the cables recovered. Walking in them I would liken to what I imagine walking on the moon would be like, though having better gravity because the dust was quite deep when I was last in them some 20 years ago. There was no lighting in them then and they were quite eerie places seemingly without end when walking towards Drayton Park.

Think it may be the construction link between the Bakerloo and former Jubilee tunnels.

On the subject of the Northern City line, does anyone have any signal scale plans for it dating from LT's time? I'd really be intereted in seeing how it interracted with the Vic and Pic and Finsbury and Highbury geographically instead of just diagrammatically. I know its a long shot as the linen sheets wouldn't have been of interest to the company since the time it was handed over in the 70s...
