Would have liked to have got to the meet today, unfortuantely circumstances didn't prevail!
Have already got the date of the Saturday at Acton, on 13th April in the diary.
Fellow members will wish to be aware that, in the current six month track closures, there is no District line between Turnham Green and Ealing Broadway, and no Piccadilly line between Acton Town and Uxbridge.

It was a really vintage meeting that had a huge number of members and is still going on now. Hopefully this wil put some issues to bed. Photos of members (if no one minds) later.

I eagerly await pictures of the first Christmas meet I've missed in a few years now. I trust there is a decent picture of the custard....?

Well someone (caravelle?) furnished the custard, as the official mascot keeper was unable to attend. Great to meet friends old and new and I think I actually got around to say at least hello to everyone. (except Uzair )

I've just got home after what was a very enjoyable meet. I didn't quite get to speak to everyone I don't think, but I had some good chats with many of you.
Antharro is acting as custodian of the remaining kitty, while I ended up with the custard for reasons I can't recall!

Now for an avatar change...? I haven't downloaded my photos yet, and I think someone else took a better one on their camera than was got on mine.

Thanks to the organisers and LUL staff for a very interesting trip. Sorry I couldn't attend the afternoon pub meet this time.
Also enjoyed a smooth journey on S and 09 stock!

I'm just surfacing after a long day yesterday It was a great meet and really nice to speak to existing friends and new ones alike: putting names to faces having met XercesFobe, DeepLevel, Caravelle, Juliang and others for the first time. Also big thanks to the organisers of the first part of the day. I didn't take too many photos in the pub but here are the ones I've got: Gantshill, DStock7080, Caravelle, Fahad, Orienteer, ChrisM, ChrisW, Phil Fahad, BigBadDom just behind, XercesFobe, Causton and Charlie playing with his Android. Gantshill and Ajax the Warrior's heads, Harsig and Caravelle, Phil, Charlie and Unravelled (I think) GantsHill in MRFS's cloak (looks good) and MetMan.

. .... Orienteer or Ohmslaw, not sure which ........ Sadly it wasn't me, I succumbed to a winter bug overnight and was tucked up in bed. I'm as envious as hell but glad you all had a good time.

Missed this meet (pity really, I like Penderals Oak), due to the fact that I am a new member - is this the only get together (Christmas) you have throughout the year?

There are usually a few large meets through the year and sometimes some smaller ones too. Just keep an eye on this section!

Missed this meet (pity really, I like Penderals Oak), due to the fact that I am a new member - is this the only get together (Christmas) you have throughout the year? Hello there and welcome to the Forum. The Christmas one always seems to be the main one and you can see a few photos earlier in the thread of some of the attendees. There also always seems to be one in March during the Acton Depot Open Day though I've only made it to the pub once or twice. During the last couple of summers there's also been one somewhere around Chiswick - one last year in a pub near Strand on the Green and this year's in the pub on the platform at Kew Gardens. This one still counts as an unofficial one though, I think. There have been many meets through the years and I can genuinely say I've got to meet some really, really nice people, many of whom have become good friends.

I really enjoyed my first meet! I hope to get to many more and hopefully chat to more people. I'm a bit shy, but as I get uses to people I open up and become one if the noisey lot!
