I've looked for the dates etc. on the LT museum website and the earliest event at Acton Depot is an ordinary open day in April. Has it been cancelled for 2013? It is usually in early March but I can find no mention of it.

This Show has been moved from March - April next year as part of the 150 years celebration - I should be there again this year with Croxley WRD.

Rumours circulating around are 13th/14th April, but don't quote me on that.
Whether it'll be a standard London Transport in Miniature, or an LU150 special I'm not sure. There is talk of having at least Met No 1 in light steam at the depot, and a short demonstration line from the Ffestiniog Railway.
Either way, the Acton Miniature Railway will be running as always! :-)

I shall be watching these dates with interest. I wonder if LT Museum would consider doing a 38TS run on the same weekend for the 150years?

How certain are these dates? I am really planning ahead, I know, but since it involves airline tickets and probably some family flying over with me, I would like to know asap to plan this.

Here is the line from the mail I received on 02/08/12 from Lyndsey who is organising the event for the LT Museum " In past years, we have held our spring Open Weekend in March. In 2013, the date is changing to 13 -14 April. " This seems pretty firm to me. XF |

Thanks XF. That pretty much nails it. My Wife is thinking of flying over with me (She probably won't be at Acton), so the planning is more complex.

The museum may run special interest events in the run up to the open weekend, this is subject to confirmation. Doubtless if this happens, a thread will be started with the relevant links to the website for booking.
